Another tough challenge ahead as we welcome Narberth RFC

Bedwas host Narberth at the Bridgefield on Saturday with Head Coach Stefan Sankala looking forward to the game and when commenting on last week’s win at The Gnoll said “We came away from Neath last week happy with the result but desperately disappointed with our performance. We reflected well this week and are certainly looking for an improved performance overall this weekend. Narberth are a well-coached, honest group who have many years of success in the Championship and that is something I respect and will be weary of. I expect Narberth to be challenging towards the top again this year and our lads expect a tough test on Saturday. We have to be at our best to continue our run and our lads understand this.”

There are some changes to the Bedwas line-up which took to the field at Neath. Jordan Roberts comes in at right wing on permit from Cardiff RFC with Bradley Williams given a start at fly half and Owain Keane promoted from last week’s bench to start at scrum half.

Up front there are several changes with starts at prop for Brynley Toms on permit from Cardiff and Owen Ford recalled to the tight head jersey. Head injury victim at Neath Owen Jones sits this one out with Craig Hudd moving back to blindside flanker and Matthew Bovington partnering Gareth Allen in the ‘boiler house’. The back row is otherwise unchanged.

On the bench Tom Devine and Rhys James are recalled, there is a potential first appearance of the season for Callum Williams, the five replacements completed by Rhys Morgans and Dion McIntosh.
