A quiet couple of days since our big weekend of rugby on Saturday. Weather outlook is poor this week and along with the residual water logging of the pitch means we’ve reversed this weekend’s fixture with Trebanos. This means we’ll be on the road for the game on Saturday, subject of course to the weather, so keep your eyes on our web and socials for more details.
A bit of drama on the pitch today as we said farewell to the car which had been camped on our pitch for over a week! We’re hopeful of getting our field back to action in the near future (with one eye on our home game with Ystrad Rhondda on 7 March) so it was important the car was removed without damaging our very wet pitch. This meant we welcomed a crane to the Bridgefield. WalesOnline caught all the “drama” which you can see here: https://t.co/gJqsuyBHMs
The club will open (all in the main Function Room) on Thursday from 7pm for the usual casual ‘Thursday club’ and quiz so do pop down for a cold one. The committee will also be meeting shortly and we’ll hope to have more news on the next steps forward after then.
Finally, a big shout out for our Mini, Junior and Youth teams who were bag packing last week/weekend in Tesco. They managed to raise over £1,200 on the Friday alone which is absolutely fantastic and will help us get their club back to normal working order.
Thanks all!
