Trebanos game postponed

TODAYS GAME POSTPONED (Updated 19/10/2019 10-50am)

Bedwas make another trip West this weekend as we head to Trebanos RFC (Post code SA8 4BN) hoping to maintain the unbeaten start to the season.
We have played Trebanos twice in preseason friendlies in recent years winning on their ground in August 2017 by 36 points to 17 and then twelve months later by 43 points to nil at the Bridgefield.
Trebanos have not enjoyed the start to the season they would have liked, winning one, drawing one and losing three games. Nevertheless we can be sure of a hard game and nobody will be taking anything for granted.
Head coach Stefan Sankala makes a number of changes to the side that beat Narberth last weekend.
The front row sees a return for Josh Dunleavy at hooker with Tom Devine partnering Own Ford. Craig Hudd moves to his usual second row slot alongside Gareth Allen. Rhys Morgans starts at open side flanker and is joined by Sam Pailor on permit from Cardiff RFC. Dale Rogers takes over the Captain’s armband at Number 8.
Matthew Bancroft takes over at scrum half with last week’s man of the match Bradley Williams in partnership with him. Jordan Rees stays at left wing but Alec Jones comes in on the opposite flank. Callum Williams joins Matthew Williams in a new look centre pairing with James Hallett continuing at full back.
On the bench we are delighted to welcome back Matthew Pettit who returns after some time away from the game and also its welcome back to James Richards for his first appearance of the season following injury woes. Josh Hayward, Dion McIntosh, and Owain Keane take up the remaining bench places.
The full team is: 15. James Hallett, 14, Alec Jones, 13. Matthew Williams, 12. Callum Williams, 11. Jordan Rees, 10. Bradley Williams 9. Matthew Bancroft, 1. Tom Devine, 2. Josh Dunleavy, 3. Owen Ford, 4. Craig Hudd, 5. Gareth Allen, 6. Sam Pailor, 7. Rhys Morgans, 8. Dale Rogers. ©
