Bedwas RFC Athletic beat Beaufort RFC in a low scoring friendly fixture-the first game under the newly installed updated Bridgefield floodlights.
The Athletic opened the scoring in the first half through an unconverted Harvey Picton try before being subjected to heavy Beaufort pressure but unfortunately for them didn’t gain any rewards.
The second half continued in much the same way before Dave Bisof added a second try for the home side converted by Owen Thomas.
Beaufort pulled a converted try back but the home side held out to the final whistle.
