Bedwas RFC is extremely saddened to convey the news of the passing of David ‘Dai’ Willetts at the age of 73 after losing his fight with Leukaemia.
Having been bough up in the village Dai was a lifelong supporter of the club and always enjoyed representing the club on the field of play during college vacations in the 1970’s.
He spent most of his working life offshore or overseas but never failed to visit and check on the clubs progress.
Bedwas RFC is very grateful for the donation he made following the flooding and to his contribution to the club as a Vice President.
We are especially thinking of his wife Barbara, his two sons and his extended family at this difficult time.
His funeral will take place at Thornhill Crematorium on Friday 26th August 2022 at 16-15hrs followed by refreshments at Bedwas RFC.
