We were sadly notified over the weekend that long standing season ticket holder David Potts passed away in early January.

We have received this message from his family:

“The family are saddened to announce that David Potts passed away peacefully in the I.C.U. at the Grange Hospital, on Sunday 2nd January.
David was a life-long member of Bedwas RFC who was very much loved by all of his family and friends and will be sadly missed.”

Former Bedwas RFC Secretary Dave Cousins added:

“David had worked at Hydro Aluminium in Bedwas for many years and had many friends in the village and at Bedwas Rugby Club. He was a quiet man, and a real Gentleman, who had supported Bedwas all his life.

He was also an active member supporting the committee during the turmoil of the recent past. His contribution was greatly appreciated. His help and friendship will be sorely missed.
