Mark Lewis to Step Down as Bedwas RFC Director.

Mark Lewis (pictured with Welsh rugby legend Phil Bennett), Bedwas RFC Director of Rugby is to step down from his Directorship with immediate effect. 

Following a long tenure, firstly as chairman and latterly as a director of the club, Mark has decided to take a step away from his voluntary work with the club. Citing an increased workload in his business, Mark said:

“It is with regret that I am announcing my resignation as a Bedwas RFC director. The club is very close to my heart and it has been a very difficult decision to make. However, I am facing an increased work load in my day job and so now feels like the right time to take a step back and concentrate more on my professional life.”

To facilitate a transition in how the rugby arm of the club is managed, Mark will remain involved with the first team for the remainder of the 2018/19 season. 

Bedwas RFC would like to thank Mark for his all of his hard work and the personal and professional sacrifices he has made to bring and keep first class rugby in Bedwas. The club with doubtlessly miss his exceptional contributions and the directors, members and supporters of the club wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
