With a strong Youth team out, Newbridge opened the scoring with a try which they then converted.
Bedwas, with hardwork from the forwards, replied with a try with Rhodri Griffiths scoring on his last game before he goes to university – conversion missed.

Newbridge then scored 2 more tries against the run of play stretching their lead to 17-5
Bedwas didn’t let their heads go down and came back into the game before half time with a try from Rhys Morgan again the convention was missed making it 10-17 at half time.

The second half kicked of with Newbridge getting another try making it 10-22 but again the Bedwas Youth showed their fighting spirit, getting a try through Jevon Knowles again convention missed making it 15-22.

Then with Bedwas playing strongly, the team had 2 tries disallowed. Not to be out-done and let their heads go down, they scored the last try late in the game through Morgan Akril
