We’re excited to share the news that tomorrow (Sat 7th Jan) we will be hosting Newport RFC v RGC 1404 in the Welsh Premiership for a 2:30pm kick off.
Newport RFC have had to seek an alternative venue for their game and as we had no home game scheduled, we were happy to help our friends from the ‘Port.
Cost of entry for the game is adults £14 / concessions £10 / U16s free, however, Bedwas RFC members will be able to access the club and watch the match free of charge on production of their membership card.
Parking at the club is reserved for players and officials involved in the game and we ask supporters and club customers to use parking at Peter’s Pies or in the village. Stewards from Newport RFC will be helping us to run the match day and we’re grateful for their support.
Both club bars will be open for our members and Newport and RGC supporters alike with televised URC and English Premiership rugby on the screens. We will also be running the pitch-side burger bar (cash and card accepted) though please note coffee is available inside the clubhouse.
We know that Black and Amber fans would prefer to be on home turf but we hope they can enjoy a warm Wass welcome nonetheless and we look forward to hosting them and the RGC fans who have made the long journey south. It should be a great game with the two teams side by side in the league table.
