Bedwas RFC Targets Mid-May Re-Opening

Bedwas RFC Targets Mid-May Re-Opening

Following the latest Welsh Government announcement, Bedwas RFC can confirm it will be aiming to re-open in the middle of May, in line with the prospective re-opening of indoor hospitality.

We know that many of our members are eager to return to the club, and we are working very hard as volunteers to get the club refurbished and fit for re-opening. Hundreds of hours of work have been going into the club in recent months and we hope to welcome you back to a much improved clubhouse with a range of improvements taking place.

The potential date set by Welsh Government for the return of indoor service is 17 May, but this will depend on decisions made by the incoming government after the election.

Will Rees, Bedwas RFC Secretary said: “We have decided to aim for the middle of May, rather than next week’s re-opening of outdoor hospitality. This will give our volunteers sufficient time to get the club looking its best for when we re-open. It will also give our customers the best experience possible with much improved facilities in both the members lounge and function room. We’re very excited to welcome people back into the club after such a long time!”
