Bedwas head to St Peters RFC (Minster Road, Cardiff, CF23 5AS) this Saturday for a WRU Challenge Cup fixture. Another closely fought fixture is anticipated and Bedwas will need to continue their recent good form to progress to Round 2 as the hosts will be looking to gain revenge for last week’s defeat.
Ahead of the game Bedwas backs coach Bobby Andrews said ‘We are expecting another tough encounter this week after last week’s close game. We have had a really productive week in training with lots of boys sticking their hands up for selection. Hopefully that transfers to Saturday and we get a good performance.’
This being a cup fixture allows the coaches to name a 23 man squad.
We are pleased to welcome back Harry Oliver who has been providing injury cover for Cardiff RFC. Ioan Hill who took the field as a replacement against Cardiff Met two weeks ago has now transferred to Bedwas and we also welcome Will Oliver brother of Harry.
