Bedwas are on the road again this week but after last week’s long trek north it’s a mere 25 miles journey to Bridgend.
Head coach Stefan Sankala commented ‘We look forward to bouncing back from a disappointing loss last week. After a tiring journey we actually performed fairly well and take away individual errors we were actually highly competitive.’
‘Putting aside our recent losses we have another opportunity to perform against a hardworking, physical and well organised Bridgend side. These next three weeks are crucial in how the league shapes leading into Christmas.’
We are grateful this weekend to the Dragons for allowing as to permit Joe Davies, Matthew Screech and James Sheekey from their first team and Tom Hoppe from their Academy.
Apart from the inclusion of Davies and Screech the Bedwas pack remains unchanged with Nathan Hudd captaining the side.
Behind the scrum Tom Rowlands and Dion McIntosh occupy the half back positions with Tom Hoppe returning after playing for the Dragons against Russia last week to partner Lewis Bowden in the centre. Joe Scrivens and Adam Williams both return to their former club.
