Team news for Cardiff Met clash.

Bedwas head to the Cyncoed Campus of Cardiff Metropolitan University for the first away trip of the new season and will be eager to out last week’s result behind them.

Head Coach Pat McGee commented: ‘As a group we were very disappointed with both the result and the performance against Beddau. Having said that we still had chances to win the game which we take as a positive going into this week against Met. We have trained well all, Bobby (Andrews) and I are confident of a much-improved performance.’

The Bedwas team selected shows a few changes to last week as we welcome some new faces and see the return of some familiar ones.

Up front there’s a debut for hooker Arwel Hughes who joins Bedwas from Bedlinog and Tommy Chapman returns at lock forward. Behind the scrum we welcome back Luke Crane on permit from Newport RFC and Aaron Billingham returns having been unavailable last week. Morgan Winstone moves full back.

On the bench we welcome backrower Ben Edey recently signed from Caerphilly and prop forward Ioan Hill on permit from Abercarn. Gethin Coleman and Jak Robbins move from starting full back and scrum half respectively to the bench which is completed by the return of Rhys Jones following a lengthy injury spell.
