Bedwas RFC is extremely saddened to learn of the sudden passing of former player Viv Thomas.
Viv captained the Bedwas RFC Youth team in the 1978-79 and 1979-80 seasons before moving on to Pontypridd RFC scoring 6 tries in 23 appearances from his preferred position at centre.
He then returned to Bedwas for the remainder of his career.
We extend our profound sympathy to his wife Olwen and his daughters at this most difficult time.
Viv’s funeral will take place at Thornhill Crematorium on Wednesday 18 October 2023 at 11-00am followed by refreshments at The Masons Arms, Caerphilly.
The family have requested that mourners wear Welsh Rugby Jersey’s or something to include the colours red, white and green.
