It’s with immense sadness that Bedwas RFC must announce the sudden unexpected passing on Friday 23 January 2026 of Club Director Philip O’Connor. Universally known as ‘Phil the Fish’ owing to his many years of being the landlord of ‘The Fishermans Rest’ public house across the river from our club house Phil was a popular and respected man at Bedwas RFC.
We would like to extend our profound sympathy to his wife Kay and son Nathan at this extremely difficult time.
We will advise of the funeral arrangements once known.
