It’s the last game of 2023 for Bedwas 1st XV as they make the short trip to St Peters RFC in Cardiff, k.o. 2-30pm.
After a Christmas break everyone will be looking forward to maintaining the winning ways and record a fifth successive win.
There are a few changes to the side that recorded a victory against Cardiff Met RFC last time out.
Ben Drew starts at loosehead with Ryan Thomas moving to tight head prop, Lewis Crane retains his position at hooker. There’s a new partnership at lock forward with Tom Hodges and Liam Beer taking over from Harry Oliver and Tom Chapman. Sean Morris and Ben Eedy start at flanker with Dale Rogers at number 8.
There are also changes to the backs. Jacob Wright comes in a scrum half to replace the injured Jak Robbins. Sam Davies returns at full back after a spell on the injury list.
There’s another new face on the bench as we welcome Llewelyn Brown a former Pontypridd Youth player who can operate at fly half or full back.
