Bedwas RFC is disappointed to announce that the league fixture with Treorchy RFC scheduled for this Saturday (2nd March) is postponed.
A statement on the Treorchy RFC Facebook page says: ‘Unfortunately, due to high number of injuries and head knocks, we have had to postpone our fixture against Bedwas this Saturday and will work with them to rearrange the fixture. Apologies to our hosts for any inconvenience caused, however nothing is more important than player safety and welfare.’
However, it must be noted that Bedwas RFC has tried everything to get this game to go ahead including using the ‘Game On’ rules and allowing Treorchy to permit players to no avail.
Given the backlog of fixtures caused by this winter’s wet weather a new date will be notified as soon as we are able.
