STATEMENT FROM BEDWAS RFC.
With massive regret we have no option other than to forfeit the fixture versus Pontypool due to be played Wednesday 3rd May 2023.
We have tried and failed to put a team together as we have currently got 17 players out with injuries, some short term, and some long term.
Our physio has reported an extended treatment list for this evening for those who can attend.
We have never in our knowledge had to forfeit a fixture and are very sad having to do so now! We must commend our coaches in trying their utmost to field a side last Saturday and unfortunately a mid-week fixture is just a step too far!
We wish Pontypool RFC all the best next season when we are sure you will do your loyal supporters proud in the Premiership! Again, we apologise to have to do this, but our players welfare has to take precedence.
