Bedwas rounded off their month of away games with a trip to nearby Sardis Road, Pontypridd.
Current league leaders Pontypridd always seem to present a considerable obstacle on their own turf and are unbeaten at home this season.
Pontypridd scored two first half tries by skipper and No. 8 Chris Dicomidis and flying winger Owen Williams, both converted by outside half Dean Gunter. Bedwas fought hard without really troubling the home defence who stood firm to deny all thrown at them.
In the second half Bedwas started brightly but could not get the scoreboard ticking over, until replacement full back Gareth Cull slotted a penalty to reduce the arrears.
The hard working Tom Cooper finally found a gap in the home defence and roared over for a try, Cull added the extras and Bedwas supporters hoped for something from the game. That optimism lasted for all of four minutes before replacement outside half Humberstone added a penalty and converted a second try by winger Williams to restore their fourteen point advantage.
Urged on by their home fans Pontypridd sought a fourth try for a bonus point but on two occasions their attackers were adjudged held up over the line as Bedwas defended well.
