Bedwas head west

Bedwas travel the 70 odd miles west to face Carmarthen in good heart after last week’s victory over Llandovery.

Carmarthen themselves are also in good form. Bedwas head coach Steve Law said ‘We are expecting another hard game but we are focussed and ready to go’ ‘we’ve made no secret of our desire to be involved in the final and obviously hope to progress.’

Ross Wardle makes a welcome return to the Bedwas back line after recovering from injury in an otherwise unchanged Bedwas rearguard. Ethan Davies and Josh Davies return from Wales Under20 duties to take a place on the bench.

Up front Aaron Harris comes in for Simon Grainger who has done a sterling job leading the team but is unavailable for this game. Phil Rees and James Thomas swap places with Rees starting in the boiler house and Thomas dropping to the replacements bench. Deri Mattravers takes over the Captains armband at number 8.
