20 April 2013 - Bridge Field, Bedwas

Match Preview

Huge game as the Ponty express comes to town.

Bedwas welcome runaway league leaders Pontypridd to the Bridge Field for what is a huge game for the club. Following last weeks narrow defeat at Parc y Scarlets Bedwas are now three points ahead of the West Wales club as both seek out second spot and a home time in the play offs.

Head coach Steve Law makes change to his starting backs with Llanahran’s Harley Thompson making his debut at outside centre. Up front Kristian Gay returns to the front row and Rhys Hutcherson and Elliott Dee start and drop to the bench respectively. Aaron Harris starts at openside flanker in place of James Benjamin who drops to the bench.

‘This is a vital game for the club’ said Steve Law ‘Pontypridd have only lost one league game all season so I am hoping we can get a positive result to lay down a marker ahead of the play offs.’ ‘The boys put in a huge shift against Llanelli last week so are looking forward to another big game tomorrow’
